We are preparing for the execution phase of a special element production project in Denmark (Rødby). To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Works Manager – Special Element Production (SPE) with a background in civil or tunnel construction.
This position requires relocation to Denmark. A rotation schedule is negotiable in some cases. Applicants must hold a valid EU work visa. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
Jouw missie
As Works Manager – SPE, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and management of the special element production line, which involves approximately 10,000m³ of concrete for each of the elements. Your focus will be on efficient production processes, quality control, material procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
You will also:
- Oversee the procurement of materials and manage suppliers.
- Develop method statements, detailed schedules, and mobilization plans.
- Monitor and control costs, budgets, and financial forecasting.
- Manage and supervise site personnel (20-30 staff members).
- Organize and oversee the onsite execution of production works.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive safety measures.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, quality control teams, and survey departments.
- Report on progress, quality control, and subcontractor performance.
Wat breng je mee?
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 5-10+ years of experience in tunnel or civil construction project management.
- Knowledge of concrete production, quality control, and large-scale construction processes.
- Experience in subcontractor management, procurement, and project coordination.
- A strong focus on efficiency, cost control, and high-quality execution.

The Fehmarnbelt Tunnel is an 18-kilometre immersed tunnel connecting Rødbyhavn (Denmark) and Fehmarn (Germany). Once completed in 2029, it will be the world's longest immersed tunnel, featuring a two-lane motorway and two electrified railway tracks. The project includes large-scale onshore facilities, a 1-million m² tunnel factory, and a 500,000 m² working harbour. This groundbreaking infrastructure will significantly improve connectivity between Denmark and Germany, reducing travel times to just 10 minutes by car and 7 minutes by train.
